Resources for Parents, Guardians, & Teachers

If you are a parent, guardian, caregiver, or educator, it's important to know how to spot, address, and support youth impacted by gender-based violence.

How to Help

If you think a teen may be experiencing abuse, it’s important to be calm, listen, and let them talk without judging. Show them that they can trust you and remind them that it is not their fault and they are not alone. Encourage them to seek help and offer to go with them if that would make them feel safer. If you believe they are in immediate danger, call 911 right away.
